Day 13: A date you would love to go on
It would start right when the sun’s starting to set with reservations at a fine dining restaurant on the 20th floor of a hotel next to a window overlooking some bit of water and parts of the city. The food would be smooth, delicate, and refreshing rather than hearty and thick with sherbert in between the appetizer and entree to cleanse the palate. Somewhere in here there would be dancing since there’s a dance floor and this well lit shin dig and a live band (at least a piano player and a singer, but at the most a full blown Big Band 20’s style). We wouldn’t be stuffed after the meal, ‘cause there’s still so much we have to do.
Next we’d go to see a movie, not a play which is in itself an entire event. It’d be a fun and exciting movie, hopefully with a little comedy in it, well produced and with excellent plot and character development. We’d watch it while munching on bits of chocolate or a small popcorn. The armrest would be down, but it wouldn’t matter. We’d be bouncing off each other when something hilarious happens or pushed back in our seats holding hands when it gets serious.
We’d walk out of the theatre without rushing. The city lights would be bright enough that we wouldn’t be afraid to walk near the alleyways as we make our way to the water. We’d walk down the beach and the temperature would be warm enough to not pull beads of sweat from our necks and foreheads. We’d walk along the pier and see all the street performers and if someone was selling burnt peanuts or cotton candy we’d slowly pick away at it. Eventually we’d find our way to the sand, take our shoes off, and brush through the cool miniscule rocks. There wouldn’t be any stones and the full moon would be bright enough to let us know if we’re going to step in seaweed.
The rest is sort of up in the air.
